Retreat & Conference Center Dorms | Lodge | Dining Hall | Pavilion | Swimming Pool | Sports & Activities | A Glimpse of Ranch Fun
In February 2011, through God’s graciousness, Southland Baptist Temple acquired almost 50 acres, situated on the rolling hills of Ballard County, Kentucky, just 20 minutes from Paducah. By renovating the existing Dining Hall & Lodge facilities, and constructing two 96-bed dormitories, a 30’ x 50’ pool with pool-house, an open-air pavilion, and new sports fields, what was once the vision of Southland Baptist Temple is now THE RANCH Retreat, & Conference Center.
The mission of THE RANCH is “To provide an experience that creates, shapes, and enriches the Christian Commitment, by empowering persons of all ages to live the Truth of the Gospel in their daily lives.” This mission will be accomplished in a diverse manner. Planning has begun on Christ-centered activities such as summer youth & children church camps, retreats for men & women, music festivals, couples’ retreats, and ministerial conferences. THE RANCH is pursuing specialized activities such as a camp for hearing-impaired children, a free week of camp for underprivileged students, and service-based retreats. These activities are anticipated to benefit people of all ages and socio-economic backgrounds from our region and beyond. The “ripple-effect” of THE RANCH will reach cities and villages across the globe as those impacted go out into the world and live the truth of the Gospel in their daily lives. While THE RANCH will offer numerous full-service programs, the facilities are also available for rent as private or large-group venues for periods ranging from a few hours to an entire week. To learn more about The Ranch call 270-564-0805 to schedule a tour of the property and discuss why The Ranch is the place for your group. As you listen to the testimonies of God’s great soldiers, all can recall where they first encountered God’s Grace & Awesomeness. It is that place that becomes the origin of their story. For decades to come, The Ranch wants to be the place where great stories are started. |
